May wishes

It’s officially been a month since my last post. Oops. Anyway, I’m here now to kind of make up for lost time with your new playlist and a couple of my favorite things at the moment.

Born a Crime by Trevor Noah
Now that spring is upon us, it’s time to break out the pineapples. These piña colada leggings from We the Dreamers are adorable and perfect for sunny days. The leggings are also available in azure agave and feather festival

I hope May gives you everything you want.

Update + favorite things.

Hello, there! You look beautiful today. I also hope you’re having a good day so far.

It’s been two weeks since my last post. No, I didn’t disappear off the face of the earth, if that’s something you’re wondering. After blogging consecutively for an entire year, I’m all written out. A little break is nice to have, but now we’re back to business. At least I hope so. I would hate to disappear again after finally getting a handle on this.

Nothing new happening here, so here are things I’m currently into:

Black Mirror (Netflix)

Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events (Netflix)

Bates Motel (A&E)

Darkness and Light -John Legend

La La Land

Okay, so it’s not an extensive list, but a list is still a list. It’s only the first month of 2017. There will be more new things to enjoy.

Have a fantastic weekend.

10- Countdown (Th.Th #42)

What’s up my people?

The final countdown begins! Only 10 more of these babies until my resolution is fully realized. That’s so crazy! A special thanks to anyone who has read thus far, no matter how boring some of these got to be.

I can’t believe we’re almost done here. Speaking of, can we just skip over the next four years? I tried to watch the finsl debate, but I couldn’t do it. Either way, we’re heading for disaster, and I won’t apologize for it.

The United States isn’t the only thing going down. Stay with me as we get closer to 2017 because it’s about to be the GOOD kind of going down. This is real.

Let’s do this.

P.s, check out my new favorite lifestyle blog, We the Dreamers. It was created by singer Kate Voegele, who happens to be my favorite person ever. Pre-order her new album, Canyonlands, on iTunes or visit her official website for other fun stuff.

Xx again.

Never grow up (Th.Th #33)

Hello, darlings.

Some days I feel like I’m talking to no one here, but I suppose that’s one of the perks of blogging. I mean, I’m not looking for an audience or anything like that. I could be reaching out to just one person and that would be enough for me. This is part of my resolution and I enjoy it regardless.

Where has the entire summer gone? It’s been flying right on by. Soon, it will be fall and there will be pumpkin-flavored everything. Pumpkin is okay, but I’m more into the colors and the atmoshere. And crunchy leaves.

Lately, I’ve gotten into a science fiction podcast called The Bright Sessions about a therapist who specializes in the strange and unusual, and a web series called The New Adventures of Peter and Wendy, a modern day adaptation of Peter and Wendy by J.M. Barrie.

I also got around to reading Harry Potter and the Cursed Child a few days ago. It’s taking me right back to my childhood as if the characters are still with me. Back then, I could also finish a book in less than a day, but now life is in the way and it takes a little longer. My love for books will never go away. It’s part of the reason I decided to go into commununications along with my interest in writing.

Enjoy the day and make the best of all that is left of summer.

Love you all.

A magical time (Th.Th #32)

Hello and welcome to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

I’ll keep this short and sweet and it’s mostly because I don’t have time. This is a little late because I work the dreaded overnight shift and I didn’t want to lose too much sleep working on this.

If you couldn’t guess from the greeting, I got my copy of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. If only I lived in London to see the play. In the mean time, I’ll just pretend.

“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” by J.K Rowling, John Tiffany, and Jack Thorne (Simon & Schuster)

Pods (Th.Th #29)

Thursday always manages to sneak up on me, but here it is.

Anyway, hey, how’s it going?

It was hot in Texas and now that I’m home, it’s still hot. It can stop at any time. I prefer spring and fall, anyway.

Lately, I’ve been into podcasts. Here’s what I’ve been listening to, so check them out if you’re into creepy, weird stuff.

Welcome to Night Vale (science/horror fiction): In the format of a community radio show, it tells of the strange occurrences in a strange town.

Alice Isn’t Dead (horror fiction. From the creators of WTNV): A truck driver goes across the country in search for missing wife believed to be dead.

Within the Wires (surreal horror fiction. Also from the creators of WTNV): Told through audio programs, there appears to be more to the mysterious institute than what they’re letting on.

And today, I started The Black Tapes (horror fiction): With a focus on the paranormal, journalist Alex Reagan starts looking for the truth along with the mysterious and skeptical Dr. Richard Strand.

If you enjoy podcasts, feel free to recommend some.

Check back next week for the new August playlist.

Cyber hugs.

April favorites (Th.Th #17)

It’s Thursday.

I started this post last night with a list of my latest book purchases. Since it’s the last post for April, I decided to do some of my favorite things. And maybe they’re some of your favorites, too. And if not, then they will be.

We Were the Weirdos -Matt and Kim

Lemonade -Beyoncé

Books (not current, but I’m just getting around to them)

The Cuckoo’s Calling by Robert Galbraith

The Help by Kathryn Stockett

The Casual Vacancy by J. K Rowling

Your May playlist is coming next week, so look forward to that.
